Y

I've fallen into a hypnotic sleep
While hourglasses counted
Our latest weeks

Since I met you,
Humanity has lost its speech
So I found myself deaf to world
But you whisper has my deafness breached.

I hang on every word you say
And every word has got me beat
And it's your sincere laughter
That melts my tattoos in the heat.

You seem to have more senses
To know more than books can teach
And it's such an amazing wonder
To have you within my reach.

I've cut my wings and buried them into the ground
And from feathers made you shoes
So hand in hand we'd roam the land.

I crushed my bones and built a boat
And from my hardened skin some sails
So we'd both be sailing around the world.

And if the sun will prove out cruel
I'll wear my nails to the bone
To build you a city in the shade
More glorious than Rome.

 In a world where I don't care
About most people I know
Consider the value this places on love.

I poured out everything
That I crammed within my chest
You can chose to believe me
Or pick the lies that you like best.
